This is the super creepy door that leads under the stairs. (and yes I check it every night for the boogie man)

IMG_0762

There it is, my new house! It’s actually way more creepy in the basement than I thought.. I have a daily regiment of checking every possible hiding place the boogie man might be before I go to bed. I had to sleep with the light on for the first few nights, but now I have a night light which is nice.

There’s only one shower (upstairs) where my roommates are, so I get to take baths every morning! It’s actually quite nice, a very relaxing way to start my day.

So other than the creepy basement, I love it. It’s spacious and was well kept by the previous owners. I’m really liking it here.

One of these days I’ll take a video of it so you can really see the layout, but the pictures will work for now.

Tyler and I are excited to come home! We’ll be there in six days.. ahh!! We can’t wait to see you all, love and miss you!

I’ll organize them better and post them here tonight, but for now hopefully the album on Facebook will suffice.

Big News!

I wanted to fill you guys in on a big change that’s happening soon.. I’m moving! On Saturday actually.. so two days from now. My roommate, Traci, has a friend from work who needs someone to rent her house. It fits 5 people easily, and rent will only be $1000, which will be split 4 ways (5 ways in June). It’ll be me, Traci, Traci’s sister Kris, and Traci’s friend Lindsey. The 5th, another one of Traci’s friends, won’t be coming until June. The house is SUPER nice, and it’s really big. It has a huge living room with a fireplace, the dining room (with a sweet chandelier) is connected to the living room. The kitchen was just redone and it looks GORGEOUS. The cabinets are awesome, it has a dishwasher (yay!), a garbage disposal, and TONS of pantry space. There’s also a room right off of the kitchen with an entertainment center that literally (yes, literally) goes from the floor to the ceiling. And last but not least, there’s also an office room. Guess what.. that’s just the first floor! The upstairs has two HUGE bedrooms, two people per room. There are two closets in each room, and they are gigantic (Kelsey would love them!). The basement is extremely spacious as well. It has one large common area, and two separate storage rooms. It also has two freezers and more pantry space. The backyard, though, is my favorite part! Not only does it have a wrap around porch, but it has a garden with a drip system AND raspberry bushes! The renter lady said we could have all the raspberries we want! (Yay!!) Oh, and the renter lady said that before her dad moved out he re-did everything he possibly could to make the place more energy efficient. New windows, heating system, etc.

So, needless to say, I’m really excited to move there. Well, I’m excited to BE there, but not so excited about actually having to move all of my stuff there. Anyways, I just wanted to let you guys in on what’s happening. I’ll be sure to take tons of pictures of it so you all can see how amazing it is. 🙂 Well, that’s all for now. Love and miss you all!

Job

I’m still loving my new job! It’s been absolutely wonderful so far. They had a pipe burst last night 😦 so I got to take her out with me today. We went to WinCo (grocery store) and then back to my apartment where we spent most of the day. Around 5pm I took her to a comic book store that my friend works at until her mom got home from work. It was a blast! I got to give her a bath today.. it was the first time I’ve ever bathed a baby! Surprisingly it went off without a hitch, which was nice. The other day, though, she decided to go #1 while I was in the middle of changing her! Not fun! She’s happy and easy going 99% of the time I’m with her so I really do love watching her.

Just wanted to update you guys on how things are going! Love and miss you all!

I’m baaaaack!

OH MY GOSH IT’S BEEN SO LONG SINCE I’VE POSTED.

Here are some new things going on in my life at the moment:

1) I have a new job! As of yesterday I’m a nanny for a one-year-old girl. Let me tell you, I love being a nanny! I work Tuesday through Friday and make $10/hr, which is awesome because all I do is play with a sweet one-year-old girl all day. I swear she’s the easiest baby I’ve ever dealt with. She never fusses, ever, she goes to sleep easy and wakes up in a good mood. Oh, and THEY HAVE CATS! Three of them!! It’s awesome! And they’re all friendly so they all hang out by Jauslyn (pronounced like Jocelyn) and I. Her parent’s are super nice, too. It’s pretty much perfect. I get to hang out all day with a baby and some cats and get paid for it. I love it.

2) Tyler got me a juicer for Christmas! I’ve been making fruit and veggie juices non-stop since I opened it. It’s actually quite delicious. I make a fruit juice in the morning and veggie juices for every other meal. My favorite morning recipe is 2 apples, 2 oranges, + 4 carrots. My favorite veggie recipe is 2 apples, 1 piece of ginger, 1/2 a lemon, a large handful of kale, 1 cucumber, 2 stalks of celery, and a few sprigs of parsley. I know it doesn’t sound appetizing but I promise you it’s amazing. Well, I think it is at least. I’ve been drinking only juice for breakfast and lunch and then eating solid food for dinner. However, as of yesterday, I’m going full juice! You’ll see why after reading the next paragraph.

3) Yesterday some of Tyler’s roommates and I started a 6 Week Weight Loss Challenge. We all weighed in yesterday and then calculated our BMI. Anyways, I weighed in at 160.2 lbs and I’m hoping to lose at least 10, preferably 20ish lbs. Since I’m already doing the juice thing I figure all I need to do is actually start working out. (Ugh!)

I think that’s all I have as of now. I promise I’ll start posting in this thing again! Miss and love you guys!

Anina

It was soooo great hanging out with Anina in SLC last night!! I had such a blast with her and her co-worker, not to mention Olive Garden was delicious. 🙂 (Thanks again Anina!)

I wanted to get a picture of us while she was here but I forgot. 😦  So, I thought I’d try and recreate it for you.

Image

I’d say it turned out pretty well. 😛

I’m so glad I got to see her, and I can’t wait to come home to see everyone else for Thanksgiving! Miss and love you all!
